JRG is rehabilitating 10km of the Gwanda–Maphisa road corridor, restoring the gravel road surface to an all-weather standard capable of supporting the region's traffic volumes. The programme addresses surface deterioration through full regravelling and re-sheeting works.
Drainage improvements are a central element of the rehabilitation — failed culverts are replaced, side drains regraded and vegetation cleared to ensure the road surface is adequately protected from water damage.
